Overview:

A leading provider of mission-critical data acquisition and telemetry systems is seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer to join its engineering team. This role is essential in producing clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports innovative technologies used across defense and aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, system operation guides, installation instructions, and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather technical content and ensure accuracy.
• Translate complex systems and software functions into clear documentation for both technical and non-technical users.
• Edit and standardize materials according to internal style guides and industry standards (MIL-STD preferred).
• Organize documentation in accessible formats using tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, or MadCap Flare.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.
• Strong understanding of documentation best practices and technical communication principles.
• Familiarity with military documentation standards and structured authoring is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, writing skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
