Job Description



LBF is excited to add a new role, Reverse Mortgage Purchase Business Development Specialist. This vital role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing partnerships with real estate agents, home builders, financial advisors, and other referral partners to promote and grow the reverse mortgage purchase business. This role blends consultative sales, market development, and strategic relationship building with a deep understanding of the HECM for Purchase product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Development: Identify and engage real estate professionals, home builders, 55+ community developers, and financial planners to establish mutually beneficial referral relationships.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively source new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, events, and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Training & Education: Provide training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one support to partners on the HECM for Purchase process and its value proposition for older homebuyers.
  • Market Strategy: Develop and execute localized business development plans to increase awareness and adoption of reverse purchase financing.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with internal loan officers and processors to support smooth, timely closings for purchase transactions.
  • Reporting & KPIs: Track outreach activities, partner engagement, and sales pipeline using CRM tools and report progress to leadership.
  • Compliance Awareness: Maintain working knowledge of FHA and HECM guidelines and ensure marketing and partner education materials are compliant.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications



 

  • 3–5 years of sourcing experience in mortgage sales, reverse mortgages, real estate, or financial services. Looking for the ideal “sales hunter” mentality.
  • Active NMLS license required.
  • Proven business development or B2B sales success, ideally with referral-based sales models.
  • Strong understanding of reverse mortgage for Purchase products.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented and a strong tenacious attitude.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
