Job Description

My client who specialize in designing and manufacturing capital equipment for the Semiconductor industry are looking to hire a Staff Productivity Engineer to join their team, based in San Jose, California.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the advancement of the Coatings and Productivity Core Technology Center (CPCTC) by bolstering its strategy, processes, tools, and organizational framework.
• Utilize expertise in semiconductor capital equipment needs, industry-standard coating techniques, and cutting-edge coating materials to optimize the effectiveness of both current and forthcoming products.
• Collaborate with global coating suppliers to pioneer innovative coating solutions that foster product distinctiveness.
• Partner with academic institutions to pioneer novel materials science engineering approaches that drive product differentiation.
• Facilitate the development of a structured approach for engineering Design of Experiments (DOEs) and the exploration/evaluation of coating materials.
• Tackle materials engineering hurdles pertaining to the chemical, physical, and thermal dynamics of processes, aiming to enhance the functionality of equipment components.

Qualifications:

• Industry experience in Productivity, process engineering, materials science / engineering or materials chemistry.
• PHD preferred
• Failure analysis experience relating to ceramic materials.
• Failure analysis experience relating to plasma or thermal ALD/CVD
• Expertise in materials analysis (SEM, TEM, ICP-MS, EDX)
