**Responsibilities** In collaboration with the physician/medical director, this role assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. + Including: taking patient's history performing physical examinations ordering appropriate diagnostic tests establishing diagnosis and provide care and management for common illnesses and disease prevention in the pediatric and adult patient. + The NP may assist in the admission transfer or discharge from Health Care System. + Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community agencies. + Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement program. + Works within multidisciplinary team to develop plan for the patient and their family. In addition to the routine duties of detailed in NP scope of practice the in-patient specialty NP will provide care and management for acutely ill patients respond to emergency situations. **Qualifications** + Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area required. + Masters in Nursing required. Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners required. + Required: AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State. Registered in AZ as nurse practitioner. Hold and maintain national certification in NP area under AZ regulations. BCLS ACLS Specialty certification when applicable; acceptable if obtained within the first 18months. **Overview** Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.
