Job Description

Training will be conducted Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1700. After training, the shift will either be Sunday through Wednesday from 0630 to 1730 or Wednesday through Saturday from 0630 to 1730.

Principal Accountabilities

• Possess a sound understanding of the skills required to perform routine activities.
• Environmental Monitoring:
  • Monitoring of Classified Areas using active/passive air sampling methods and RODAC/swab surface sampling methods for the detection of bacteria and fungi.
  • Use of CliMet air sampling methods for the detection of Total Particulates.
  • Trending of data to detect anomalies and characterize the transient and resident microflora.
• Utilities Testing:
  • Testing city water for total microbial count and the absence of enteric organisms.
  • Testing pre-treat water, clean steam, and Water for Injection for total microbial count and presence of endotoxins.
  • Testing nitrogen and process air for total microbial count and total particulates.
• Utilize classical microbiological methods for the identification of microorganisms.
• Perform validation activities such as biological indicator recovery, bioburden rinse/swab, endotoxin rinse, and endotoxin challenge vial testing.
• Data analysis and entry into software systems such as Microbiology Information Management Systems (MIMS).
• GMP Documentation:
  • Document test results and conclusions in a GMP manner.
  • Ensure test forms are complete before submission for approval.
• Perform responsibilities in compliance with *** quality systems.
• Adhere to all company safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and directives.
• Conduct all laboratory activities safely by using MSDS to establish chemical hazards, observing the appropriate laboratory procedures, and reporting all incidents that could threaten the safety of laboratory personnel.
