We are seeking a Locums Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician to provide nighttime inpatient coverage in Lake City, Florida. This opportunity offers a manageable admit load, a closed ICU with no procedural responsibilities, and a supportive environment ideal for an experienced hospitalist.
Position Details:
Shift Schedule:7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
ICU: Closed – No ICU management required
Procedures:None required
Average Nightly Admissions:12 (range: 8–16)
Code Response:
Yes – Provider will respond to RRTs and Code Blue
ICU team assumes care for codes after initial response
Responsibilities:
·Admit new patients overnight and provide ongoing management of existing inpatients
·Respond to Rapid Response Team calls and Code Blues (no code management required—ICU team takes over)
·Collaborate with nursing, specialists, and other hospital staff for effective patient care
Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Hospitalist experience preferred)
Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Experience with Meditechor similar EMR systems preferred
